Bird Description

Formerly conspecific with TUTI. Very similar but with black crest. Ranges barely overlap and hybrids reported where they do. Juv: pale flanks; forehead and crest gray. Adult-type black feathers molted in through fall/winter. Call and song similar to TUTI but faster.
