Poecile hudsonicus
BOCH
Order: Passeriformes | Family: Paridae (Tits, Chickadees, and Titmice)

Bird Description
Uncommon in n. forest, particularly spruce. Occasionally irrupts s. Often with BCCH flocks. Seemingly quieter than its commoner cousin, it can be hard to find. Also more secretive though individuals may be tame. ID: Slightly larger than BCCH. An ‘obvious’ chickadee, its brown cap, bright flanks, and dull back make ID straightforward. The white cheek patch is narrower and gray at rear adding to its overall dull appearance.
