Bird Description

Fairly common in pine woods. Small and very active, often heard first, with its squeaky-toy-like call. Also gives a call note similar to AMGO. Shimmies up and down branches, often in small groups. ID: Small with bluish upperparts, brown cap, often shows white nape. Underparts mostly off-white. Juv: similar to adult but with fluffier undertail coverts and more brown mixed into wing. Occasionally shows up out of range.
