Bird Description
Very rare in late fall and winter. Formerly Western Flycatcher and best still treated as one, being impossible to separate in field. Most similar to YBFL but slightly slimmer and longer-tailed. Browner-winged with less distinct wing bars and tertials. Eyering tends to be rounder and back browner. Frequently flicks tail. Call a disyllabic ‘sew-wis’ or ‘seet.’
