Tyrannus savana
Fork-tailed Flycatcher Tyrannus savana
FTFL

Bird Description

Very rare, mostly E Coast spring and fall. STFL-size but larger-headed with long tail that arches slightly downwards. Color pattern similar to EAKI with paler mantle and thus more capped appearance (it curves up behind ear coverts). Tail length as STFL: longest in ?, shortest in juv. Most records are S Am birds, but some (TX) are pale-mantled C Am birds.
