Rare winter visitor, sometimes at feeders. Usually in dense vegetation on or close to the ground. Similar to a large dull 1st-w WCSP. Appears grayer-headed in winter with a very small brown cap. Forehead is yellowish. Bill is duller. Ad nonbr: shows more black on crown. Breedong birds boldly marked.d
