Bird Description
Very rare. ID: 4-yr gull. Has bred in L.A. where hybridized with HEGU. Only older birds safely identified by combination of almost black back and yellow-green legs. Look for wing-tip pattern (usually 1 mirror on outer primary) and bill size/shape. Younger imms: similar to a big LBBG with a large bill.
