Bird Description
Mega-rarity from Siberia that turns up mostly in late fall on large lakes. Formerly ssp of Marbled Murrelet. ID: Small slim alcid with one-piece head and bill. Clean line below eye extends down neck. Hindneck/nape grayer (PALO-like) with pale ovals (sometimes obvious). Striking white scapular line and rear flank. Adult nonbr similar to juv but clean white below.
