Bird Description
Found in Edwards Plateau, TX. Very rare to Canada and E Coast. Large with a long thin bill and tail. Ad ?: striking black and yellow with bold wing bars and yellow median coverts. Ad ?: upperparts dull gray-green with diffuse streaking. Underparts green, some with darker throat, very variable! 1st-yr ?: as pale throated ad. 1st-s ?: black throat. Call a hard 'chack.' Song: meadowlark-like qualities.
